Tania Shcheglova is a Ukrainian artist, known for her work with the collective Synchrodogs since 2008, who transitioned to a solo career in 2023 focusing on photography and installation art. She has gained international recognition through projects like “Innerland,” receiving awards and residencies such as ArtPrize Juried Award and Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Her work explores the concept of “Inner World Portraiture” and has been exhibited internationally, earning her accolades from institutions like The Guardian and FOAM.

In a cultural climate saturated with narratives of collapse, trauma, and fragmentation, this body of work positions itself as a counter-gesture: an invocation of luminosity, a refusal of cynicism. While much of contemporary art focuses on pain or conflict, this photo moves in the opposite direction – toward wholeness, kindness, and spiritual presence. It is a visual manifesto of optimism, purity, and faith in the good: a gentle reminder that love is real, beauty exists, and we can always choose light over darkness.
