Sandeep Rasal is a photojournalist and documentary filmmaker dedicated to documenting the lives of communities impacted by social and political change, particularly in India. He has worked with prominent organizations like The Hindu and Getty Images, focusing on people, culture, and the environment through long-term projects. With a background in fine arts and experience as a lecturer, Sandeep combines his photographic expertise with filmmaking to produce impactful visual stories, contributing to projects like Wonobo and independent documentaries screened at festivals worldwide. He is currently working on a photobook.

Their lives reflect the fragile path of tribal girls in Maharashtra, where education beyond primary school remains uncertain.
