On 15 March 2020, in reaction to the Corona virus outbreak, the Iranian government announced the immediate closure of all athletic venues, sports clubs and tournaments, as well as sports training centres across Iran. The closure to remain in force until further notice.
Following the implementation of this mandate, the athletes in Iran have taken to training on the rooftops of their homes in order to maintain a degree of their physical and mental fitness and prowess.
