Iranian women faced many problems after the 1976 revolution, in which the Shah‘s rule was replaced by the rule of religious clerics. This includes the hijab problem: Islamic law demands that women must always cover their hair and hide themselves from men. But in recent years, women have made efforts to achieve civil liberties.
